My favourite of all the big Thunderbirds and the first car in our family with actual leather seats - buttery soft and white as snow, they made this thing feel almost exotic. It's parked beside the cottage of a school friend where who'd recently hosted the high school grad party. I had an 8X10 of this photo on my BR wall for years, and curiosity eventually got the better of Mum who asked "why is your father's car parked in this unfamiliar setting and why do you have a photo of it there? I realized she had several good reasons to wonder and luckily I had a good explanation for her - "it was me and I was just driving around taking pictures".
